For its thinner design to work, HMKL crafted a bait with a tungsten-weighted SaqSas weight-transfer system. The small tungsten weights enable a balanced bait presentation underwater, while an internal counter-buoyancy weight stabilizes the Minnow Steez without unnecessary noise. A first-of-its-kind circuit-board carbon-fiber bill on a jerkbait won’t chip and acts like a boat rudder on the HMKL. The circuit-board bill cuts the water very accurately and gets the bait where it needs to be. When fish strike, SaqSas swivels on the front and rear split rings, allowing treble hooks to spin freely and preventing tearing and losing the fish. The design also features a magnet silent-transfer system that aids long casts.
