G. Loomis IMX Hot Shot Casting Rods are designed to fish deep diving lures and baits where the boat is at the head of the run and lets the current pull the bait back and forth across the current. This allows the bait to cover the entire width of the run slipping further downstream covering the entire area.

IMX Hot Shot Casting Rods feature a magnum butt section that allows the hook to set from the force that is created when the fish strikes the bait. The speed of the boat holds tension on the line until you can get it out of the holder and start the fight with the fish.

G. Loomis IMX Hot Shot Casting Rods are extremely light and sensitive with a longer rear cork grip, providing extra leverage to give you an advantage over monster salmon and steelhead.
